Safety & Compliance
01

Scope of Agreement & Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Patron", "Specifier", or "Client") and SATURN ATELIER ("we", "us", or "our"). They apply to all visits to our website, catalog reservations, patron accounts, and purchases of handcrafted luminaires.

By registering an account, transmitting an order brief, or submitting checkout payment, you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age and possess full legal capacity to enter into binding commercial contracts.

02

Patron Account Security & Credentials

To access order monographs, track freight shipments, or request return authorizations, clients may register a Patron Account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, genuine contact details and valid shipping addresses.
  • Safeguard your account credentials and immediately notify our concierge of any unauthorized account access.
  • Accept responsibility for all activities occurring under your authenticated session.
03

Product Specifications, Patinas & Tolerances

Our luminaires are manufactured using centuries-old foundry methods, hand turning on precision lathes, and mouth-blown glass techniques:

Artisanal Tolerances: Hand-turned solid brass components and hand-poured glass possess normal artisanal tolerances of up to ±3mm. These subtle variations are hallmarks of bespoke craft and do not constitute manufacturing defects.

Living Alloy Patinas: Unlacquered brass, burnished bronze, and oxidized copper finishes are dynamic living surfaces designed to mature and develop a distinctive heirloom patina over time through natural exposure to ambient oxygen and touch.

04

Pricing, Currency & Card Settlement

All prices displayed on the website are in United States Dollars ($ USD). Where applicable, standard state sales taxes (calculated at 8.5%) and insured white-glove freight fees ($85 USD or complimentary over $2,000 USD) are clearly calculated prior to final confirmation:

  • Payment must be tendered at the time of checkout via approved credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover).
  • Transactions are processed via encrypted Stripe gateways. Your card is authorized and debited upon order confirmation.
  • We reserve the right to correct genuine typographical pricing errors before dispatch. In such rare instances, you will be notified immediately and offered the choice to reconfirm at the corrected price or receive a 100% full refund.
05

Order Acceptance & Contract Formation

Receipt of an automated electronic order confirmation acknowledges that your request has been entered into our studio system. A legally binding contract of sale is formed when your order passes foundry allocation review and is marked as scheduled for production or courier dispatch.

SATURN ATELIER reserves the right to decline or cancel reservations where inventory is unavailable, where delivery to a remote geographic location poses insurability hazards, or where an order breaches commercial terms.

06

No Warranty Policy & Buyer Return Shipping Responsibility

No Warranty or Guarantee: SATURN ATELIER does not provide any warranty or guarantee on products. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all luminaires, handcrafted brass fixtures, mechanical fittings, glass components, driver electronics, and living finishes are provided strictly on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. This includes, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, architectural permanence, or durability.

Buyer Pays Return Shipping: The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Any shipping costs associated with returning an item are paid by the buyer. SATURN ATELIER does not provide free returns, prepaid return shipping labels, or freight reimbursements under any circumstances.

Installation Disclaimer: All ceiling, pendant, and wall luminaires must be installed by a licensed, certified electrician. SATURN ATELIER accepts no liability for improper handling, third-party electrical modifications, or non-certified trade installation.

07

Intellectual Property & Silhouette Rights

All luminaire silhouettes, architectural forms, brass casting models, technical drawings, alloy patination techniques, website copy, and photography are the exclusive intellectual property of SATURN ATELIER.

Unauthorized reproduction, industrial reverse engineering, 3D mesh scanning for commercial replication, or trademark infringement is strictly prohibited under international copyright and industrial design laws.

08

Limitation of Liability & Dispute Resolution

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SATURN ATELIER shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from project schedule delays, electrician re-attendance costs, or improper installation. Our total liability under any order is strictly limited to the actual amount paid by the patron for the purchased fixture.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved first through good-faith direct consultation with our concierge directorate, followed by binding commercial arbitration in accordance with standard international trade rules.
