Mandatory Licensed Electrical Installation

SATURN ATELIER luminaires are architectural hardwired fixtures designed to connect directly into standard residential and commercial junction boxes. Installation must be executed solely by a qualified, certified, and insured electrician in full accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) in the United States, British Standard BS 7671 in the United Kingdom, or local regional regulations.

Under no circumstances should unqualified individuals attempt ceiling mounting, stem cutting, internal wiring modification, or driver alteration. Improper installation creates grave risks of electric shock, fire, and structural detachment. SATURN ATELIER does not provide any warranty or guarantee on products; all luminaires are sold without warranty, and all site preparation, mounting integrity, and electrical safety remain strictly the purchaser's responsibility.

Living Brass Alloy & Hand-Applied Patinas

Unlike mass-manufactured lighting produced from electroplated zinc or aluminum, SATURN ATELIER utilizes 100% solid unlacquered brass and lost-wax bronze castings:

Natural Surface Variation: Our hand-burnished finishes (such as Antique Patina, Burnished Bronze, and Weathered Copper) are achieved through artisanal chemical oxidation baths. Slight tonal variations and subtle darkening between components are characteristic of authentic brass metallurgy.
Aging & Maturation: Exposure to room air, humidity, and atmospheric elements will gradually deepen the finish, creating an authentic patina prized in historic architecture.
Care Guidelines: Wipe exclusively with a clean, dry microfiber cloth. Never apply abrasive cleansers, ammonia, metal polishes, or harsh solvents, as these will strip the hand-applied oxidation.

Mouth-Blown Glass & Carved Alabaster

Our glass diffusers and alabaster stone discs are individually formed by master glassblowers and stone masons:

Borosilicate & Opal Glass:

Occasional tiny air seeds (bubbles), subtle thickness variances, and delicate whorls formed as the artisan gathers molten glass are natural indicators of mouth-blown heritage.

Natural Alabaster Veining:

Every genuine alabaster fixture features unique grey, amber, or charcoal translucent mineral veins formed across geological eras. No two shades are identical.

Dimensional Tolerances & Weight Specifications

Because each fixture involves manual lathe turning, precision hand fitting, and bench assembly, all published product dimensions (overall height, shade diameter, canopy spread) are subject to standard artisanal tolerances of ±3mm (±1/8 inch).

Architectural specifiers and general contractors are urged to verify ceiling structural backing, joist load-bearing capacities, and junction box ratings (many of our larger multi-tier pendants weigh between 15kg to 45kg) prior to scheduling installation trades.

We exercise meticulous care to present accurate descriptions, photometric data (CRI > 95, 2700K warm white), and CAD specifications. However, screen color calibrations vary across monitors, tablets, and smartphones. For projects demanding exact alloy matching, we encourage architects to request physical alloy finish sample rings via our concierge desk before placing large volume orders.
